David started as the new rector (senior pastor) of Trinity in November 2016. He and his wife, Megan, previously served a congregation in Pittsburgh, PA. They are both Florida natives from the Tampa Bay area. While attending Florida State University, they were actively involved in planting an InterVarsity Chapter at FSU, which grew into one of the largest and most diverse chapters in Florida. David graduated from FSU with a double Major in Philosophy & Religious Studies. He then earned a Master’s degree in Religions of Western Antiquity with a focus on New Testament studies. He completed his seminary training with his wife at Trinity School for Ministry in Ambridge, PA, receiving his Masters in Sacred Theology in May of 2012. Megan graduated with her Masters in Divinity in May of 2013. While in seminary, David worked as the Director of Communications for the Anglican Diocese of Pittsburgh and Press Officer for Archbishop Robert Duncan.

David and Megan have a passion for building authentic Christian community that reaches out in love for their neighbors (Acts 2:42–47). They have a particular heart for reaching the city of Thomasville with the transforming love of Jesus Christ.

They have three children, ages 5 and under. David considers himself a true southerner, and thinks the perfect day is one spent in the sun and the water, with a good book and good company. He also enjoys hiking, camping, and other outdoor pursuits. David and Megan love to travel and explore. David has been on several mission trips including, traveling to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Uganda, and most recently, leading a mission team to Ethiopia.

Children's Minister

Susan Groves works with the children of Trinity as they grow as disciples of Jesus though Children’s Church, Sunday School, and the Wednesday night “Kids’ Klub.” Susan has served with children’s ministries since Trinity began in 2006. As a mom, grandmother, public school teacher, preschool teacher, Sunday School teacher, and former church camp counselor, the Lord has prepared and is continually equipping her in her role with children’s minsitries. She is married to Rick Groves. They have three grown children and 5 grandchildren.

Rebecca is a transplant from Minneapolis, MN where she grew up. She has a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from University of Minnesota. A gifted pianist and vocalist, Rebecca leads our choir and music teams for our Sunday service.

Mike was married for 45 years to his late wife Wendy. Together they have three sons and 10 grandchildren. Mike has been a Christian most of his life and enjoys studying and teaching the Bible. He is a retired businessman and also works at New Covenant Church as their Administrative Pastor.

Cathy Russell

Cathy Russell has loved the Lord since she was a little girl. She is a 1981 graduate of Christ for the Nations Bible Institute in Dallas, TX. Cathy was married to her late husband, Walter, since 1984 and they have 5 daughters who also love Jesus. She has homeschooled for 23 years and runs a busy household. The Russell family has gone on several short-term mission trips through       S-T-R-E-T-C-H Ministries which the Lord gave them to run since 1991. In her downtime, Cathy is learning about gardening and     mini-farming.

Carol Kelso

Carol Kelso

Carol Kelso was born in Atlanta, GA, but grew up in the central Florida area.  After graduating high school from Lakeland High School, she went on to graduate from Wesleyan College in Macon, GA.  In 1987, Carol moved to Thomasville where she served for nine years on the Open Door Adoption Board of Directors.  Carol was Docent of the year at Pebble Hill Plantation and has served on numerous women’s boards as well as Thomas County Homeschool Board, Archbold Medical Auxillary, and is presently serving on the Alumnae Board of Managers at Wesleyan College.  For many  years, Carol was actively serving in the Tres Dias Community. She has also been a co-host of a local cooking show for several years and is now the CNS Television “Thomasville Today” talk show hostess interviewing people showcasing events in and around Thomasville. Carol has 3 wonderful children  who have blessed her with 7 grandchildren.  Carol loves her Trinity family and is honored to be on staff here.
